Matt Carter Named Driver of No. 61 Specialty Racing Ford

June 24, 2009 - Specialty Racing is proud to announce that Matt Carter will immediately take over the driving duties of the No. 61 Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Carter, who replaces Brandon Whitt, will make his debut with the team this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the running of the Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by Turtle Wax.

“Everyone at Specialty Racing is excited about Matt Carter joining our team,” said team co-owner Doug Taylor. “Matt comes from a family rich in racing history and has had a good amount of success himself so far in his career. We feel that this is a perfect fit for our race organization at this time and we look forward to some great things ahead for all of us.”
